Mary G. Lewis

 

Mary has over 16 years of professional experience in the successful management of capital campaigns, annual campaigns, corporate and foundation relations, as well as marketing and communication strategies.  Her role at CP&A includes client development, strategic planning, capital campaigns, marketing, board development, special event expertise and grant writing.

She has written successful grant applications for numerous major organizations, including:  The Kresge Foundation, State of Florida Cultural Institutions Program and Cultural Facilities Program Grants, Quantum Foundation, Janirve Foundation, MacArthur Foundation, National Endowment for the Arts and Alpha Omega Foundation.

Mary has also been instrumental in establishing corporate sponsorship programs at the Hanley Center Foundation, Palm Beach Atlantic University, The Academy of the Palm Beaches, Palm Beach County Public Affairs Office and the Norton Museum of Art.  

Prior to joining CP&A, Mary worked for the Norton Museum of Art, Palm Beach Atlantic University, Hanley Center Foundation, the Academy of the Palm Beaches (now Palm Beach Day Academy) and the Montreal Expos Baseball Team.  

Her work as Senior Public Relations Specialist for Palm Beach County brought her into the 2000 election recount where she worked with news media across the nation.  Mary’s role was to ensure the press had access to view the official recount as well as to demonstrate to the world that Palm Beach County was working diligently and professionally through the election recount.

Mary is an active member of the Association of Fundraising Professions (AFP) and sits on the AFP board as scholarship chair.  She is also the chair of the City of West Palm Beach Special Events Advisory Committee, co-chair of the Marathon of the Palm Beaches Kids K and Marathon Mile, Palm Beach Post Pathfinder Scholarship Judge and is on the advisory board of Cardinal Newman High School Quarterback Club.

She received her BA degree in Communications from Xavier University in Cincinnati, Ohio. She is also a guest lecturer across the state on Corporate and Foundation Relations and Campaign Strategy.
