Amanda maintains the CP&A finances and supports the company in various research and administrative capacities.  She graduated Summa Cum Laude from UCLA with a B.A. in International Development Studies.

Her passion for holistic solutions to environmental resource issues took her to Brazil and Mexico, where she conspired with community leaders to address problems with clean water supply. She was involved in the planning and construction of rainwater catchment cisterns and composting toilets.

Amanda also works for an ecological design and publishing company in Santa Barbara, CA, whose mission is to provide people with information and designs for living well with less use of resources.

Amanda speaks Spanish and Portuguese fluently. Her most recent travels took her to Quebec, where she was turned on to the French language (and eating Poutine!). She is also studying the Armenian and Turkish languages, and hopes to visit these ancestral homelands in 2012.
